Engage – Autoshare

Lesson 3

Auto-Sharing Introduction

Social Media Auto-share is one of the primary value-adds of the STREAM5 Social program. We push one auto-share post per weekday to all subscribers. You also have the option of specifying which days we post on your behalf or opting out of auto-share entirely.

Supported Platforms

STREAM5 Social Auto-Share currently supports the following social media platforms

  • Facebook for Business
  • Twitter
  • Linkedin

You may specify which, if any of these platforms you wish for us to post to on your behalf.

Credentials and Permissions Required

Setting up Auto-share on your behalf requires that we be given the following information and permissions (depending on selected platforms)

  • Admin access to your Facebook for Business Page
  • Login Credentials (email and password) for Linkedin
  • Login Credentials (handle or e-mail and password) for Twitter

Submitting your Credentials

To submit your Social Media credentials, navigate to the following address and fill in the form:

https://www.clearhome.ca/stream5-social-social-media-setup/

Shortly after submitting that form, you will receive a Page Administrator request on your Facebook Business page. This is required for us to post to your Facebook Business page on your behalf.

Authorizing Page Editor Access

To Authorize Page Editor access, take the following steps:

  • Log into your Facebook Account
  • Click the down arrow next to the question mark near the top right of the screen
  • Select your page from your page list
  • Click Settings
  • Click Page Roles

You will see a Page Editor request from ClearHome. We need you to authorize this request

Scheduling your Auto-Posts

You have the option of modifying how often we share posts on your behalf. Currently we share posts every weekday. However, you have the option of only having posts run anywhere from 1-4 times per week or opt out of  auto-share entirely. If you wish to make changes to your auto-share frequency, please let us know and we can make the necessary changes.

Post Frequency, Audience Reach, and Evergreen Content

Because of how social media feed algorithms are programmed, not every person who follows a page will see every post by that page on their social media feed. On one hand, this means that any given person who follows your content will only see about one post out of every five while they're scrolling through their social media feeds.

However, this allows for more rapid turnaround of evergreen content allowing us to share an article multiple times with different messaging to maximize its reach and readership. Our posts run the gamut from cornerstone Clearhome.ca-exclusive content written specifically for our platform as well as articles distributed by the Canadian Press related to the financial and housing industries.
